| OPENING DAY — MAY 27 With warming weather comes cool thoughts of pools, parties and relaxation. Opening Day is Saturday, May 27. This year, we have a remodeled bathhouse and Kathy’s Korner to show off to our members. This remodel completes nearly three years of planning and construction and we should be proud of the teamwork it took to accomplish what has been done. Also, the pool themselves have had improvements made over the winter months. Be there at 11am on May 27th to see it all, and be part of the first swimmers of 2023. 5-5-5 Membership Special Our 5-5-5 Membership Special is available for new and returning members. Register online before May 5 to receive 5 free guest passes for 2023 (a $35 value). The instructions for signing up using Member Splash are here: 2023 Registration Instructions – Broyhill Crest Recreation Club (broyhillcrestpool.net) 2023 SPRING WORKDAYS Set your calendars for our pre-opening workdays on Saturday, May 13, 9am-1pm and Saturday, May 20, 9am-1pm. Get your volunteer hours started out by assisting in putting the pool grounds back into ‘Opening Day’ shape. We need as much support as you can provide as we move our deck furniture and more up from its temporary location to the pool deck, and we get Kathy’s Korner and the pavilion ready for entertainment. We will supply much of the supplies, but suggest you wear outdoor work clothes and bring your own work gloves. FOOD TRUCKS BEGIN APRIL 21 Our 2023 schedule of Friday Night Food Trucks begin April 21. This week, we kick-off the food truck with Cousins Maine Lobster. This truck will be in parking lot from 2 pm to 7pm, so come get lunch or an early dinner, if you choose.
