FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY – Blue City Food – Indian Cuisine
Rain or shine, the food truck is booked and ready to bring dinner to your door! And the Kathy’s Korner dining patio is always open to members (barring thunder!). So bring your dinner up and enjoy al fresco dining with friends and family.
This Friday, June 23, join us for a taste of India with the popular Blue City Food Truck! Enjoy traditional treats such as Butter Chicken, Paneer Tikka Masala, Samosa, and Naan in addition to special platters such as Lamb Gyro Platter!

POPSICLE NIGHT – Take Two… Should the weather cooperate, FREE popsicles will be available at Kathy’s Korner from 6pm this Friday. One per person, and just a fun way to celebrate the start of summer (at least, that’s what the calendar says. Mother Nature is not so sure!)
FIRST SUNDAY NIGHT DINNER
Come enjoy the first Sunday Night Dinner of 2023. The NEW ORLEANS’ SHRMIP BOIL, this Sunday, June 25, 5pm.Shrimp, sides and dessert (you MUST try the bread pudding and whiskey sauce!) Kids meals also available. It is a very lovely dinner with great company and great food, with proceeds supporting the recent renovations of the pool facilities.
(Please check email or call the pool on Sunday afternoon, if the weather decides not to cooperate with us. A decision will be made by 3pm, Sunday)
RICARDO’S LUNCH BAR
Now OPEN, every weekday, noon -2pm, enjoy lunch at the pool. Hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken patties, chips, cookies and drinks. Surprise items whenever you least expect them…. Run by volunteers, with all proceeds to support the pool.

FLOAT NIGHT – Every Tuesday
The rain held off for the first Float Night – long may it continue!
Every Tuesday from 7pm-8pm, bring your inflatable floats of any size and color to the pool. Toss them in and enjoy a boatload of fun and chaos with others! Ice cream floats sold from 7.30-8.15pm – still just $1 each!
NEW THIS YEAR – bring your family up at 6pm every Tuesday night before Float Night, and enjoy PIZZA FOR DINNER, sold by the slice, and supporting the Barracudas Swim Team. It’s a win/win for dinner and entertainment options provided entirely by BCRC every Tuesday!

Next Wednesday, June 28, head to Chick-fil-A at 7130 Little River Turnpike, at ANY TIME during the day and make a purchase, as 10% of all proceeds from all sales the entire day, will go to our BCRC Barracudas. (I suggest Ricardo’s for lunch and Chick-fil-A for dinner!!!)
LOOKING AHEAD
July 4th is looming up large, so start thinking about the fun at the pool. Especially the bike-trike-scooter parade at 1pm. It’s good old-fashioned fun that the kids love. And on July 3rd, 4pm-6pm, your kids can bring their ‘wheels’ to the pool where they can decorate them in the pavilion area. Bring your own decorations, and perhaps a few to share with others.
A small selection of decorations will be available at the pool, but when you are out and about these next few days, pick some up for your kids to decorate with. It’s fun to be decorate together – and all ‘wheels’ can be left overnight in the pavilion, in readiness for the parade the next day!
TWO THINGS YOU MAY NOT KNOW – NEW OUTDOOR SHOWER, SWIMSUIT SPINNER
Located between the outside wall of the ladies room and the filter house (with the fish doors!) there is a swimsuit spinner which can almost completely dry your dripping swimsuit, before you take it home. Check it out – easy to use, and makes for less mess in the swim bag! No towels please – just swim suits.
And, right next to the swimsuit spinner, brand new this year, is an outdoor shower to wash off in, before or after you enjoy the pool. Or just for a quick cool-off. Check it out.
