And here's just what you should do...
Head to the coolest pool in the 'hood
Where you'll find friends, both old and new
The water is warm, the deck chairs beckon
And there's always something to entertain you!
SUMMERTIME HOURS
Starting Thursday, June 12, the pool will move to summertime hours. Open daily from 11am to 9pm. Spend a few hours, or spend the entire day! Check out the new table tennis table, play volleyball on the court by the pavilion, hang out with friends on the upper deck, play chess on the poolside game board, find a quiet spot to read a book, take a dip, or check out the snack bar! Just a few of the many options available at our "neighborhood back yard".
FRIDAY FOOD TRUCK
Get ready for a flavor fiesta on wheels! La Mati Va will be providing authentic Mexican cuisine from street tacos to tasty quesadillas!
Place your pre-order by 9pm Thursday 12 June, to be sure your food it hot and ready when you arrive.
The truck will be in the parking lot from 5-7:30pm.
FRIDAY HAPPY HOUR
Let the happiness continue - bring your dinner to the pool and enjoy al fresco dining in the Kathy's Korner patio area. All members welcome to share the joy with your Broyhill Crest family. Bring your own beverage - just NO GLASS PLEASE. EVER!
RICARDO'S LUNCH BAR
The ever popular lunch dining experience returns! Beginning this Tuesday, June 17, and open Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon-3pm, Ricardo's will serve hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza, and all kinds of nourishing (well, that's what the kids think!!) snacks and beverages. Cash only — with all proceeds going back to the pool for the maintenance and upkeep fund!
FLOAT NIGHT
First Float Night of 2025 will also hit Tuesday, June 17. Grab whatever crazy float you have and join others for floating and fun!
Start your evening at 6pm, when the swim team sells pizza at the pool. Toss your floats in at 7pm and enjoy a full hour of frivolity.
As extra incentive, there are now two air compressors available at the pool - to save you from the huffing and puffing.
Ice cream floats will be sold from 7:30-8:15pm - still at the bargain price of just $2 each. Please be sure to take your floats home with you at the end of the evening, as there is no storage room available at the pool.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR
The annual New Orleans Shrimp Boil is scheduled for Sunday, June 29. It's a wonderful evening of food and fun. Dinner includes shrimp, spicy potatoes, corn, corn bread and coleslaw. Dessert is bread pudding with a particularly delicious sauce option available, or watermelon. But wait - there's more - a undisclosed feature drink, beer and wine will be available for a donation. All this for just $15 per person if preordered by Friday, June 27, or $18 at the entrance on the evening.
